The Idiot Factor

No matter how good your research and analysis and intuition may be, you still need a little bit of luck to truly draft an exceptional team.

Or do you?

I have found that in all my drafts so far, there is a variable lurking that helps me more than anything: the idiot factor.

This can take many forms. The guy who found an old fantasy football magazine in the doctors office and uses it as his draft guide. The guy who loves the Cowboys (or Packers or Jets) and consistently reaches to take his hometown heroes. There is the guy who sees that the last two guys (or girls) took tight ends, so he does the same.

I like the idiots. They allow me to take good players they leave on the board. I encourage them. I flatter them.

And I draft the best teams because of them!
